Yeah im a graduate geologist, about 6 months out of university. If you have any questions about the degree - fire away Yeah what Candle said go to Sudbury if possible 1) very interesting geological history and mineralisation generation 2) probably has a high quality geology course cos theres a big mine there Im not aware of the best geology courses in Canada, is there one you've been recommended Strawhats? I actually haven't been recommended anything, but I've looked at Brock University. It's close to home and family and is not impossible to get into. I'll definitely consider Laurentian University if that's the one that you're referring too, but I thought the went bankrupt? Okay, now for some questions if that's okay. What school did you go to? Did your Geology degree involve a lot of Math? I'm aware that Geology involves Calculus I think. Do you have a Bachelors, or did you go for a Masters? I'll think of some more to ask you sometime later.

Yes. B87, noodle, myself. Since you are in Ontario I'm assuming you'd head to Sudbury? They have a good university there for geology. Laurentian University? It's kinda far from where I live and I thought they went bankrupt? I was thinking about Brock University. yes Laurentian University is the one we were referring to. It all depends what you want to do though. If I were wanting to get into mining and/or research, then I'd just go to Laurentian, no questions asked. It's the place to go in eastern Canada. The other notable one is McGill but that is in Montreal. Probably not interested in that. edit: And contrary to what some may say, it does matter where you go as there will be contacts and useful resources in those places.

Overall a good all-rounder university but its Geology Course is top notch due to being heavily focussed on practicals. 2) basic maths but nothing mental 3) I got a bachelors just to get into the industry, I'll probably go back and get my masters once I'm settled I'd recommend going to the university with the strongest focus on practical geology...yeah theoretical geology is fine and all but practical is where you get actual experience.
