Arthur's Pass - One of NZ's worst climates IMO. With nearly 4000 mm of annual rainfall and fridge-like temps, it's not one for lovers of warm, sunny weather. But don't worry, it manages to reach 25 C "once every few years" . It also has record lows below freezing every month of the year . It's an E- from me. Reminds me of one of those awful Alaskan or Scandinavian climates, but even worse due to having more cold rain during winter (rather than snow).

D; summers far too cool and wet, and winters are too rainy even for me. Also, I find it odd just how warm its winter maxima are for its altitude + latitude (750 m @ 43° S). I'm only 200 m higher than this place, and only at 36° S (almost 800 km equatorward!), yet my winter max temps are identical.

E, horrible. Winter diurnal range is larger than expected for the high rainfall. Any idea on rainfall days?
Record lows are cold enough that it must get heavy snowfall sometimes. Not enough to help the grade.

Seems worse than Bergen for being wetter despite likely a higher sun total.

Not completely horribly like those extremely wet places in Alaska. You can grow some plants here, even though that rain can drown the shit out of them!

Not quite Arthurs Pass, but similar....Fiordland in winter and exiting the Homer Tunnel

Wow, no A's from anyone, and only one B. Clearly one of the shittiest climates out there - although the couple pictures I've seen is it is a nice looking place even if the climate is shit.
