I'm gonna sound like a boomer for saying this, but the current music generally sucks. Save for reggaetón (and Alex will debate me on this) it feels like generally, over the past 5 years, the current music has fallen off of a cliff. 1978-1987 was about the sweet spot for music. This song is good though. Fixed that for you. I do have a love for 80s music as well, to be fair. Second best era of music. |

Check out my friend's new song y'all. I've known him since I was 4 it would mean a lot to me. It's his 4th single and very good, I know I'm biased but I can tell y'all that it definitely doesn't feel like it was released in 2023. Definitely reminds me more of a bygone era.

Just looked at the Billboard Hot 100 chart because I was curious and I've noticed most 2020s music that isn't from artists who peaked in the 2010s, and isn't country, is going downhill. That is, pop and rap these days suuuuuuck. The best songs on the Hot 100 are mostly country songs.
It's gotten to the point where peers will name a supposedly popular singer and I'll have no idea who they are.
