It's been two years since I'd last move around (i.e. move back to New Bern NC). Even as a kid, I was always fascinated with warm and hot climates, especially desert climates - the biggest revelation for me the past year or two, though, is that I'd come to feel just how much better humid heat feels than dry heat to me, especially when temps are moderately warm/hot.
I find that wetter climates that get fewer precip days (in other words, heavier rain over fewer days feels drier than drier climates with less precip but falling over more days) don't feel all that rainy, yet get enough precip to support plant growth and gardening without the need or worry about irrigating them. Due to that, I have a lower opinion on dry climates (especially ones that don't get very hot summers that make up for the relative lack of precip from a weather interest standpoint) than before. 90°F temps with, let's say, 75°F dewpoints, feel a hell lot nicer and more summery than 90°F with 40s/50s dewpoints, never mind the former gets warmer and more pleasant and summery lows.
I still enjoy crispness and a bit of a cool season in winter, though my tolerance for cold overcast slop and cold outbreaks outside winter has decreased from when I'd live in Rome, any cold front from April to October has me agitated now. For the most part, my weather preferences have been fairly stable since 2014/15 and wasn't ever really a cold wanker, though my insatiable desire for hot weather and storms has only intensified the past couple of years.
