This was a decent June dry season ( for minimums ) in 2011. The highlighted areas show all the mornings sub 20c. Actually 2011 was a huge wet year with 2700mm at the Airport. My wet season tally for 2010/2011 was 3,308.5mm.

March 2013 had a historic heatwave, with 9 consecutive days over 32 degrees. The temperatures themselves were not that extreme, but the length of the heat was unprecedented. Also the drastic swing in temperatures from July 18 to 20 was unusual for winter.

The historic March heatwave in Adelaide 2008. 12 consecutive days above the old 100f ( 37.8 ). From memory, a classic Tasman Sea 'blocking high' was the driver of this extended period of heat. The highlighted figures are +35c days.

Yep, this was at the Airport...a record wet season followed by an exceptionally cool dry season The two go hand-in-hand? Or did it dry out enough in May for it to not be a factor?

No, we've had over 5 months completely rainless quite a few times, the last time was in 2017 with May-Sept completely rainless.
