So unlike the 2021 predictions thread, this one is for UNLIKELY (though not impossible) things you'd like to see happen in your location in 2021.
I'd like to see ONE of the following things happen this year (seeing as all are fairly unlikely):
- A July/August with an average high of 24.0ยฐC (75ยฐF) or higher - only 5-10 times in history has this occurred.
- Hailstorm with 2cm/20mm hailstones or larger at my residence.
- A proper blizzard with a few inches of snow (2-3 maybe) in less than 1-2 hours.
- Max temperature exceeds 34.0ยฐC (93ยฐF) at some point, making it the 3rd highest temperature on record.

At least one of the following: 1) Record high breaking the 40.0c barrier. 2) A supercell storm producing a tornado. 3) An August with over 210 hours of sun. 4) A sunny summer. 5) A month with 0.0mm precipitation (not even dew). 6) A 30c high in April. 7) >20c recorded in November to bring the record into line with October and December.
If I had to rank them in order of likeliness: 2, 6, 5, 4, 1, 7, 3.

Storms and heatwaves.
I'm sure it's too much to ask though from our New World Climate.

Storms and heatwaves. I'm sure it's too much to ask though from our New World Climate. Just a sunnier than average summer month would be too much to ask for here.

Massive supercell storm. The last 2 years haven't been bad in amount of thunderstorms, but they have been pretty small-scale.
A new record high any month would be nice.

Here are my wishes for here:
โข Break the 102ยฐF barrier, which hasn't happened since 1959.
โข Have an 80ยฐF low in summer.
โข A summer month with fewer than 4" of rain, but with t-storms being the dominant form of precipitation.
โข A record warm month, regardless of the time of the year.
That's pretty much it.

Everyone in my family seems to get much more exciting weather than I do for some reason - in 2019 one of my sisters had a violent thunder and hailstorm which dropped 80mm of rain in about 2 hours and produced large hail. I was very jealous until I found out her new house had been flooded with poopy floodwater and all their carpets, furniture and decoration was wrecked, and the house stunk out, and had to be professionally cleaned while they moved out for three months. So, "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind.
The hail in their thunderstorm also broke windows at an ice cream parlour and injured children.

I remember this thread.
For 2021, I'd like more than 2 above average months. Preferably 8 well above average months, with all the winter months and either Sep or May to be average or below average.
A much wetter winter and drier summer with sunnier weather overall.
Edit: also more storms. This year has been incredibly poor for storms, even by Melbourne standards.

A extreme killing frost in Houston, shutting up the cold epoch troll once and for all.

-warm and sunny March + April -epic thunderstorms in summer -record cold and snow in December
2022 will be much more important weather wise, though. So if the weather has to be crap, then in 2021 please.

Luckily I'm on the 5th floor, so has to be quite some rainfall to get my floor flooded.

A extreme killing frost in Houston, shutting up the cold epoch troll once and for all. Who is that? Currently goes by the name of ScrappyJoe on C-D. Yn0hTnA is the most famous account.

If I could wish for one thing next year it's a sunny summer month (which for us is only anything above about 220 hours).
Literally every other season except summer is getting sunnier and this year that trend was taken to a ridiculous extreme, the first five months of the year were the sunniest on record but then we could hardly string three sunny days together all summer.

Like I said above, I think we will get to 40c before we see an August with over 210 hours of sun.

1. Some place in my region setting new national all-time high. 35.6C is the temp to beat. Ok, not likely but fully possible. 2. Getting at least one of the weak all-time high records beaten, like March, May, August. 3. As always I want sunny weather in spring, and a warm July. A decent Sep is also very nice.
