Seasonally warm temperatures and strong southwest winds will precede a cold front late this week, which will bring rainfall and the chance for severe thunderstorms to the Elm Valley. Much cooler weather will follow, with a widespread freeze expected Saturday morning. High pressure will continue to build into the weekend.

Synopsis: Cooler, more seasonable temperatures for the weekend will follow the passage of the cold front Saturday morning. High pressure will then build in, though the cold front will briefly retreat northward very close to the area Sunday, with highs expected to rebound to the mid to upper 70s. By Sunday night, high pressure strengthens and remains over the area through Monday. A weak area of low pressure is expected to move across the area on Tuesday, which will bring rainfall. Initially, some cold air damming is possible, and temperatures Monday night will drop into the low to mid 40s. Then, as the low moves right along the coast, temperatures should increase into 50s to around 60. High pressure will thereafter briefly build in, and Wednesday is expected to be mostly dry. Temps will rebound back into the 60s at least, and could potentially be warmer depending on how much sunshine is seen. A larger storm system likely to impact the region Thursday. As that system approaches, southeasterly winds will develop and increase, leading to increasing moisture (dew points increasing to the 50s by daybreak) and scattered showers, with more widespread showers likely ahead of, and along, a cold front which will move through the area sometime Thursday. Thunderstorms are also possible with the current track of this low, but confidence is too low for thunder to be mentioned in the forecast for now. Temperatures are expected to be above normal ahead of this front, with below normal temperatures likely behind the front on Friday.

Temperatures will stay well above average for the majority of next week, peaking on Tuesday, before high pressure finally weakens allowing the formation of potentially large, violent thunderstorms to bring temperatures back to the monthly average. There are weather warnings in place on Friday for flash flooding and wind across the city.

I've created a site that quickly generates NWS-style forecasts. All of the NWS icons are available for use for your fictional forecasts. It will also generate current conditions for you. Fictional Forecast Creator- Select between U.S. or S.I. units (Β°F or Β°C for temperature, mph or km/h for wind speed, mi or km for visibility)
- Location: Name your fictional climate
- Initial Forecast Period: Choose whether you want to the first period in your forecast to be for day or night
- Current Time of Day (optional): Choose whether day or night is shown for current conditions
- Forecast periods and current conditions observation time is automatically generated from the current time in your time zone.
- Instructions for modifying your forecast are on the generated forecast page. Use the condition description provided with each icon or edit to customize.
Conditions available for daytime: -Sunny -Mostly Sunny -Partly Sunny -Mostly Cloudy -Overcast -Light Rain -Rain -Showers -Scattered Showers -Thunderstorms -Scattered Thunderstorms -Snow -Sleet -Freezing Rain -Rain/Snow -Rain/Sleet -Rain/Freezing Rain -Snow/Sleet -Snow/Freezing Rain -Tropical Storm -Hurricane -Sunny and Windy -Mostly Sunny and Windy -Partly Sunny and Windy -Mostly Cloudy and Windy -Overcast and Windy -Dust -Smoke -Haze -Hot -Cold -Blizzard -Fog
Conditions available for nighttime: -Clear -Mostly Clear -Partly Cloudy -Mostly Cloudy -Overcast -Rain -Showers -Scattered Showers -Thunderstorms -Scattered Thunderstorms -Snow -Sleet -Freezing Rain -Rain/Snow -Rain/Sleet -Rain/Freezing Rain -Snow/Sleet -Snow/Freezing Rain -Clear and Windy -Mostly Clear and Windy -Partly Cloudy and Windy -Mostly Cloudy and Windy -Overcast and Windy -Dust -Smoke -Cold -Blizzard -Fog Precipitation chances from 10% to 100% in 10% intervals are also available for daytime rain and showers at the moment. In the future, I will add all precipitation chance icons for each precipitation condition. It's very time consuming to add all those icons, so I haven't added them yet. Each icon has to download from the server, so there may be some lag as you scroll through them. Enjoy!

That's awesome! I love how you can just scroll through the icons. I'm not getting any lag on my end either, after a quick test.
