High CAPE values point toward potential for some storm development on 4/11, then seasonably warm high pressure in control until another cold front sweeps thru 4/14.

A weak front will remain stationary just east of the area tonight. The boundary will lift north of the area Friday. Unsettled weather is expected through the weekend, as weak low pressure moves along the warm front Friday and Friday night--along with some moisture from the south allowing the dew points to climb to the mid to upper 50s F Saturday, though the lack of instability should limit PoPs; thereafter a cold front will push through on Sunday bringing drier air south. High pressure will build in from the west Monday.

Palomares Forecast (41ยบN, 257ftasl)
Synopsis: High pressure remaining in control over the next few days combined with a weak west-southwest flow will allow temperatures to soar under the increasing sun angle, while breezes should keep the nighttime lows at least average for this time of year. By 4/17 the high starts to break down and winds shift to warm, humid southerly surge ahead of a strong cold front approaching from the west. Currently there is a marginal risk for severe weather on 4/18, but this could be upgraded to slight if the CAPE values trend higher. After the front's passage, winds shift to the northeast although the setup stays unsettled as an Upper Low could spawn a isolated shower or storm off of the spine of the coastal range foothills. Weak high pressure settles in with SE flow on 4/21.
4/14: 71/54 sunny 4/15: 75/60 partly sunny 4/16: 78/57 sunny 4/17: 82/63 sunny, humid
4/18: 73/46 PM storms (0.25")
4/19: 65/51 spotty showers (0.05")
4/20: 70/57 spotty storms (0.05")
4/21: 73/62 mostly sunny

Synopsis: Low pressure will lift northeast of the region tonight with weak high pressure moving away Tuesday. Highs will be near climo Tuesday and Wednesday, with scattered T-storms also possible Wednesday afternoon from increasing instabilities, ahead of a strong cold front expected move through the area Wednesday night. High pressure will gain control from the west Thursday and Friday, with Thursday night expected to have a good setup for radiational cooling: light winds, and dew points in the 20s F. Another low will likely bring showery weather in the region by next weekend.
