In Malta must be at least a 90% chance, we are not called the 'Frozen African Rock' for nothing you know... The US doesn't include sleet in their definition of snow falling days. Because in the US, sleet = ice pellets. Whereas in the UK and AU, sleet = wet snow. Entirely different definitions! In the UK sleet is a rain/snow mix, not wet snow.

In the UK sleet is a rain/snow mix, not wet snow. And that's exactly what wet snow is. Not pure, un-mixed snow.

Sleet is not snow, wet snow is not sleet. They are all completely different things.

Nei's map shows 2% for Raleigh and 8% for OKC. Raleigh has never had snow cover on Dec. 25 since snow depth records started in 1944. However, Dec. 22, 1935 featured 4.6" of snow, and it was cold (never getting above 40F/4.5C and freezes every night) the next few days, so there could have been snow on the ground on the 25th. Measurable snow has fallen twice on Christmas in Raleigh, but it was only 0.4" (1.0 cm) both times.

There's a chance of "white Christmas" here due to the presence of La Nina. By that I mean, hailstorms.

Low chances this year. Snow depth forecast by GFS: I find this not only incredibly devastating but morally wrong.

I find this not only incredibly devastating but morally wrong. This is a typical situation for Christmas. Even during the coldest Cold war winters there were occasionally snowless Christmas, especially in western and central Latvia.

Mpls seems to be ~70% or so (official normals has 74% 1991-2020 but seems slightly less common in recent years), usually Xmas is white but not that unusual for Christmas to be brown or patchy in snow cover either.

0% Chance of a white Christmas. Low of 3°C high of 9°C according to the Met Office.
In the UK, I don't associate snow with Christmas and never have done growing up in the SE. Snow on Christmas is the thing of Christmas cards, television, and Christmas songs if you live in the UK except Scotland and Buxton.

79% chance of a White Christmas here. The chances in MN range from around 55-60% in far SW MN to 98-99% in several locations in north-central and northeast MN.
