Not to mention that Cabramurra is in the Aussie ski country and thus, has consistent snow cover for many months

Very hard to choose. I like Balma for its dryness but its winters are cloudier than Cabra's. Not when you account for the extreme latitude difference. Almost 10 deg apart ..Cabramurra has cloudier winters by percentage and also sunnier summers.

Hard one but I vote Cabramurra for storms. The hyper snowy cold damp depressing winters would drive me mad however .
