I've been to all those places on the list except the Tasmanian one ( although I have walked part of the Cradle Mountain Track in 30/12/14 ie summer, in a max temp of 8c and raining....yuck ! ) The voting is about right... I worked in Bendigo the summer of 2001....... on top of the roof at the Telstra building on the Highway opposite the Cathedral. Now I've lived and worked in every heat hell hole in Australia, but that Jan/Feb in Bendigo was brutal ! 42c and a hazy humid overcast day was the pits !. The only saving grace was the cooler overnight temps even on +38c days. I struggled in the mostly neg DP heat....cracked lips, wind burnt face and dry flakey skin. I flew in to the job straight from a monsoonal flooding rainy season in Darwin to drought stricken central and northern Victoria.... was a real shock to the system...lol !

Honeysuckle Creek, its the best of the worst here. Not really a winter, but certainly a cool season at least.
