Glasgow, Montana is essentially a bad version of here (other than the lower summer humidity perhaps), it has more uncomfortably/extremely hot or cold days than the scottish locale where you don't feel like going outside but also more pleasant days. Dislike its semiaridity and lack of cool season precip, even worse than here in that regard, and think it's clearly worse than somewhere like Vancouver, BC, but the Scottish one has dross weather in summer (although it's more interesting in winter due to its windstorms and changeability in the oceanic sense) so it'll have to be my choice despite the horrific, freakish deviations at times.

The Scottish one. Much less snow and cold, and much more winter rain. Makes up for its anemic summers.

100% Scotland. Definitely not the best climate ever but at least it's not a freezing desert.

Based only on the climate box, the Montana one. It's way too dry but the seasonal range is good and it gets more warm and cold weather. Neither one is good, just ok.
The Scottish city has better scenery and isn't as remote so I'd pick there by far if I had to actually live in it.

Glasgow montana, it actually gets summer temps and is over twice as sunny as the Scotland climate.

Montana. Those winters are brutal, but I'd still rather that than live in maritime subpolar Scotland. Imagine living somewhere with fewer than 1300 annual sunshine hours! Plus the record summer highs in Scotland are barely warmer than the averages in Montana. Easy choice for me - I'd just suffer through those winters knowing that I'd be rewarded with a much better summer, much more sunshine and a generally far more interesting climate.

The Montana one. I'd suffocate under all that overcast weather in the Scotland one and probably suffer from Vitamin D deficiency. Yeesh!
The Montana one, whilst dreadful, still has a pleasant summer season. I'd wager the summers are pretty sunny and crisp.

Montana for not having kill myself weather 99% of time. I envy the cold dry winters of Montana.
