Umm…you do realise that Batlow is actually colder than Ifrane? So I'm not quite sure as to why you must spout such nonsense about AU, and yet Africa somehow gets a free pass from you (even though colder populated places in AU are way more numerous than in Africa). Just LOL.

Toss up between Breckenridge and Nemuro. Breckenridge's highs are better, but I don't know if I could live in a place that had an average low below freezing in the highest-sun month of the year.
Ifrane's not bad but kind of boring.

Ifrane is probably the better climate, but I'm so tempted to choose Breckenridge simply because of how epic and raw it is.

Breckenridge is a catastrophe. Only 2 months a year with lows above freezing and highs barely above 20C, and snow almost every month totalling over 4m. That shit is not livable. Herp de derp.

I thought Bariloche was going to be the obvious pick for me, but honestly? Ifrane is actually surprisingly good and I might just pick it over Bariloche. Didn't expect that.

My climate preferences are close to OP ones.
My ranking is here:
Nemuro: A+ (cimate-perfection)
Davos: B+ (too cool in summer, balanced sunshine is good feature)
Breckenridge: B+ (summer lows are too cold)
Charlotte Pass: B (too cool in summer, too wet in winter)
Bariloche: C (too dry and sunny in summer, too wet in winter)
Ifrane: C- (same as above, except of beimg warmer)

Breckenridge is the best overall but annoyingly cold on summer nights. I'm most active during afternoon and evening hours so I'd miss the cold part.
Second best would be Nemuro. The low sun hours in summer are bad, but the daily means are tolerable all year and it gets plenty of snow. The record high is from May, even though average temperature is warmest in August.
3rd place is probably Bariloche. Interesting record lows in winter, some snow, but a lot of cold rain and chilly summer nights. Maybe Ifrane but that gets a lot of cold rain too.
Worst is Charlotte Pass, just too much cold rain there.

Nemuro. Excellent precipitation pattern and temperatures, although it could be sunnier and summers could be a little warmer.
