Are you one of those people that hates anything past gen 1? Does that mean anything beyond the original 151 Pokemon? If so, then yes. Though, honestly, I'm at a point in my life when I'd be willing to try a game with some of the newer Pokemon as well. I think you should try some of the other games. I think anything up to gen 5 is pretty good if you really like Pokemon as a franchise. There are some modded versions of Pokemon games that are pretty good too, such as Insurgence. |

Though it appears that there are more Pokemon beyond the original 151 in this game. |

Placed an order for a Nintendo Switch. I was looking for an Xbox but couldn't find it anywhere. Nintendo is cool so looking forward to playing Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros again.

One the more recent times I was back at my parents' house (in November, I think), I brought my old Gameboy Color back to my apartment, with Pokemon Blue (couldn't find my old copy of Pokemon Yellow). I've had these since the late 90s. Still works, as I tested it out a little bit, but it has this annoying electrical buzzing sound. Time for some new systems if I want to play more Pokemon.

Buy a Switch if you want to play Pokemon. That's what I wanted to do today. First I went to Game Stop. And even though I got there only about 10-15 mins from the time they opened, there was already a huge line. I went around the store a bit, but didn't even see any gaming systems. It seems like brick and mortar stores are just so minimalist nowadays, unfortunately. Then I went to Best Buy. And I found the protected glass cage where it looked like the Switch would be. But there was nothing there. I guess I'll just have to buy it online. |

It tends to be set at a fixed price everywhere, can't really get many bargains when it comes to the Switch. |

I got my Switch yesterday, and Let's Go Pikachu had come on 12/31. Haven't tried it out yet.

Well, I beat the game. Let's Go Pikachu. Started on 1/7/2022 and ended today, 2/10/2022. 30:33 is the gameplay time. Kinda steamrolled it, TBH. I didn't lose any more battles after the one I mentioned losing in my last post. I really enjoyed it. Now it's time find more games to play for the Switch.

There is a little more to the game even after you beat it. I just caught Mewtwo! It looked like I had only 5 minutes to win the battle. And I had to use a revive on my level 68 Pikachu against the level 70 Mewtwo. He caused my level 61 Charizard to faint with just one move. But Pikachu got him with Thunder a few times and thunderbolt to finish him off. And I didn’t hesitate to use my only Master Ball to catch him. Not sure if I would have had another chance to catch him if I failed.

One of the neat things about Let's Go Pikachu is that, after you've beaten the game, you can battle gym leaders and the Elite Four + champion again. But only once per day. The battles I've done today, I would need to wait till tomorrow to do again.
