Robben Island. The Tasmania one would be a fitting punishment though.

Devil's Island for the win. A solid A climate. It would be an A+ if it wasn't so wet. As long as I had adequate food and water and an internet connection, lock me away in this tropical paradise and throw away the key

Chateau D’if, clearly. Our local historic prison for dangerous criminals used to be Ushuaia. It wouldn’t be winning the poll, anyway.

Devil's Island....your classic tropical paradise. You would commit a crime just so you could be sent there.....yeh ? And Hanoi aint too bad....if you're gunna get your B-52 shot out of the sky over Haiphong, well at least you'll end up incacerated in a decent monsoonal type climate. Port Arthur was/is a real hell on earth, not least reason being the climate. It was also the site of Australia's worst mass shooting in 1996, with 35 killed and 23 wounded by a disturbed young man. The tragedy lead to the mass buy back, then banning of semi automatic weapons and tightening of firearm laws generally.

Château d'If has my personal favorite climate of the bunch. However if I had to actually be there back in the day, Alcatraz would be the most comfortable by far.

Are we assuming that I’m a prisoner at the time these prisons were operational?

Château d'If by a landslide, it's the only Mediterranean one and it has near perfect temps year round too. By the way, speaking of France, Napoléon was imprisoned (really exiled) at both Corsica and then Saint Helena, tommyFL could have put those in the climate battle too

If I were in prison, Port Arthur with Robben Island a close second.
Not sure why anyone would choose the tropical choices for a prison...lmao

Robben Island's 2013-2021 climate averages look quite pleasant. Although that rainfall total is horrendously low
