It's not about virtue signalling, nor her feelings. It's about a social environment where people's actions, accomplishments, and whole identities, are constantly judged and based according to their appearance. It's not about it being mean to others. It's about physical appearance constantly being seen as more important than actual achievements and actions, even when SPECIFICALLY discussing achievements and actions. It just keeps perpetuating the pressure to associate success with beauty. And regarding fat-shaming, people seem to think fat positivity is about obesity being praised or regarded as "not unhealthy", when it really isn't about that at all. It's literally just about people not being worth less as human beings just because they're fat. Being fat is unhealthy. A lot of people find it very unattractive. But that doesn't mean you're worth less as a person just because you're fat and ugly. Still, a lot of people associate people's value and worth based on their appearance. Their achievements as singers, as political figures etc. are ignored and instead people will just discuss their appearance instead, as if that's the only thing that defines their worth. This is done subconsciously in most cases, and I'm not gonna pretend like I don't do this myself. That doesn't make me a hypocrite, that just means I don't actually want to be an asshole. And it doesn't matter that she's not on this forum. There ARE people on this forum that are fat, and there ARE people on this forum that are ugly, or at least perceive themselves as ugly. If everyone around them keeps harassing people for their looks, associating their ugliness and being fat with being less worth as a human, then it IS going to have an effect. It's the same as if everyone keeps ridiculing people with small dicks. If everyone constantly ridicules people with small dicks, and praise people with big dicks, and assign personal value to dick size with things like "people who do this have massive dicks", big dick energy, small dick energy etc. this IS going to perpetuate and exentuate the insecurities that so many millions of men have about the size of their dick. If a girl says "omg his dick was so small, it was only 15cm lol, couldn't even feel it, what a fucking loser lol" then it doesn't FUCKING matter that the specific person she's talking about can't hear her, because any guy who hears her say that is going to be able to take it personally, and every girl who hears it to is going to be more likely to do the same.

I haven't said to a single person on this forum that they are fat, ugly or having a small dick. And that's the only thing that matters. I have not heard from a single person on this forum that they don't like it here because someone said something mean and that reminded them that they are possibly fat and ugly.
Go tell people not to call Greta ugly and "alien-looking" (Beercules), go tell people not to call Andrew Cuomo a bastard (Speagles) or maniac (AJ), go tell people not to call Elon Musk a twat (Candle), go tell people not to call AOC horse-face (various) and on and on and on and on. Go ride off on your white horse and do it. For fairness' sake for example.
We use harsh and non-curated language on this forum, have used it since its inception, and if it's now suddenly a problem for you, it's either up to you to 1) suck it up, 2) find another forum. End of story.
People are doing it everywhere, not just on this forum. Of course no one is going to associate it with this forum in particular. And that everyone else is doing it isn't an excuse, it's just whataboutism. As I said it doesn't matter if you aren't calling people on this forum fat to their face. And that people have always been assholes isn't an argument either. People have always raped others, doesn't make it okay. And I don't exactly think it's a secret that I openly dislike a lot of that behavior you mentioned. It's not like beercules and I give eachother hugs and kisses. I know that you're a person that can be reasoned with and is positive towards progressive behavior in certain ways, which is why I saw a use in discussing the behavior. Sometimes it's healthy to tell people "hey that's not cool". It's not a violation of free speech to do so, and neither should it be seen as some personal attack, or some virtue signalling. And yeah, sometimes I do feel like leaving this forum. |

There were what, like five different countries that all got 0 points from the televotes, and a lot of these were very close to 0 points from the jury. The UK number was complete shit and how anyone could vote for it as their #1 when there were soo many contestants that were so much better, is beyond me. The UK got 0 points from the jurys too. Sure it wasn't a great song, but it was not the worst by any stretch. And of course the votes are political, always has been, look at Greece & Cyprus, both the jury & televotes gave each other 12 points as usual lol. And the Maltese singer is a fat bitch, an annoying fat bitch at that. She's not a member on here as far as I'm aware so I doubt very much she will read that & get offended & even if she did, so what? |

I can definitely see it being the worst song there. UK goes directly to the final no matter how shitty the song is. The song was shit, and the singer was shit. He sounded like he was constantly singing with the last reserve of his breath. Also, I can't remember a single thing of the lyrics, the name of the song, nor the melody. The literal only thing I remember was it was incredibly bland and his singing was shit. The other songs that got 0 points from the televotes and <10 from the jury were very distinct at least, like Germany's obnoxious submission, or the Netherland's bumpy one. Yes, neighbor countries always tend to give eachother higher scores, but that's honestly more to do with geography than politics. It's more about having many neighbors than having a good reputation. |

They take it very seriously in Malta & their singer is an arrogant little piece of work who thought she had it in the bag, (with her song that was a rip off of Netta's 'Toy' from 2018), so it was hilarious watching her face drop after she realised she wasn't going to win. I didn't like the Maltese song, but she looked so sad when results were announced, I was sorry for her. |
