This was the 3rd year this century. 27ish C readings are more common, with almost half of the years recording above 26.8C.

"Only" 26.2°C recorded on 24th. Today (26th) might beat this if the sun is out, as it's been cloudy so far. If it remains at 26.2°C, it will be the joint lowest maximum temperature I've recorded here in June.

26.6°C in my location on the South Yorkshire/Derbyshire border. I don't know what Sheffield (6 miles away) recorded as their weather station stopped uploading data on the internet on 13th June, which appears to be permanent.
Despite this being one of the cooler June maxes, it felt very oppressive due to slack air and no wind, with warm nights.
