Seven out of eight national parks are concentrated in the southern one-third of France. Please keep in mind that some places may not represent an exact climate as the altitude increases or decreases steeply around the mountainous areas. Some of them don't have enough observation data, which started in the middle of the normals measurement period or stopped in the previous decade. This is the best I could find the nearest MeteoFrance weather station relative to the actual location. Here's the map.Red Pinpoint: National Parks Blue Pinpoint: Weather Station Calanques National ParkCévennes National ParkÉcrins National ParkForêts National ParkMercantour National ParkPort-Cros National ParkPyrénées National ParkVanoise National Park

Calanques, but Mercantour is a close second

Finally some good national park climates to choose from, unlinke the American ones. Calanques wins it for me, it's similar to my dream climate in terms of temps, although it receives less winter and spring rain than I'd like.

I choose Ecrins over Vanoise because it has much more precipitation which I like.

Port Cros for having the mildest winters and being warmest year round.

Calanque
It's decent, though it is still France so summer is the season that still falls a little flat.

Forets has a better temp profile and precipitation total than mercantour, but I'm gonna assume mercantour had significantly more sunshine and thus vote for it instead.

Toss-up between Port Cros and Calanques. I'll go with Calanques for the slightly drier winters even though it's a bit cooler overall.

@ José you'd probably prefer places inland to the coastal Med. A little more precip and convection though still dry af given the temps, and hotter afternoons. Le Luc now averages 90°F as a max in July and August. Forets has a better temp profile and precipitation total than mercantour, but I'm gonna assume mercantour had significantly more sunshine and thus vote for it instead. You assume right. Forets must have 6-700 hours less than Mercantour. As for me, Ecrins. Though the Ecrins NP must have places with climates similar to that box for Vanoise, and the reverse is probably true as well.

So basically a wetter Malmö? Didn't know you were into that sort of stuff

Port Cros for being the warmest. Very good climate, along with Calanques.
