If it's quiet, just invite more people. There's a clear trend, that those who complain the most about activity also do sweet fuck-all for recruitment.

jgtheone Wow nice, we broke 100 for the first time in what seems like forever. Beercules Strewthless To join this discussion, it's very true that we have lost a lot of net positive, contributing members - and therefore a lot of activity. I think our biggest loss recently would be Benfxmth - just because he had some annoying mannerisms and pet topics doesn't mean we can ignore the fact he was active and served as our de facto chief recruiter - think of how many of the new members we got in late 2020 and early 2021 wouldn't be here if it weren't for Benny. At the same time, Angler was banned for a very legitimate reason IMO. As much entertainment as he added, he also was a bully, violated our forum rules against long-term targeted harassment, and I can certainly tell that the atmosphere of the forum is as a whole a lot less toxic since his departure. So there needs to be some balance between entertaining shenanigans and some semblance of civility standards.
