I noticed that the easternmost and westernmost climates of North America (excl. Greenland) have mean temperatures about 5 °C, so here is a battle from west to east:
Unalaska, Alaska:
Yakutat, Alaska:
Golden, British Columbia:
Brooks, Alberta:
Brainerd, Minnesota:
Trois-Rivieres, Quebec:
Bathurst, New Brunswick:
St. John's, Newfoundland:

Brooks for being the driest of the bunch

I'll go with Brooks for having the least snow and warmest/driest summers of the bunch.

Going to have to go with Brainerd, MN for being the most continental and getting (probably) the most variety of weather.
Great battle btw.

Brooks probably gets more variable weather I guess.
But Brainerd for me as well.

St. John's, although the spring warm up is horrifically slow.

They are all epic fails. I refuse to vote.

They all have nasty winters, but Brooks at least has dry, sunny summers with potential for some proper heat, so I'll go with that.

Brainerd for me as well (Trois-Rivieres or Golden could win if one of them is significantly less windy than Brainerd in winter, don't know about that).

Golden. Their July average high gets the closest to my ideal and having the warmest April.

Brooks. One of the dry ones and has warmer summers than Golden.
Brooks, Golden, and Brainerd are the only acceptable options. The rest are trash.

Brainerd is best and close to my ideal. Could use more snow. I enjoy a 5C annual mean, so most of these are OK except for the first two.
Golden, Trois-Rivieres, and Bathurst are also good but too wet or dry. Trois-Rivieres is tempting, though. Brainerd Trois-Rivieres Bathurst Golden the rest Yakutat

Unalaska
Followed by Yakutat—literally the only sensible climates

Brainerd for having the best summers and a respectable amount of snow.

Trois-Rivieres for me. Warm summers, cold winters, no may snow, adequate precip year round, better warm ups than most. Rating A to A+ climate there

Brainerd, out of not so ideal climates

Brooks and Brainerd are the only ones that are sunny and don't get way too much snow. Probably Brainerd for getting more rain.

I'm gonna revise my vote to Brainerd. Slightly warmer summers and slightly better chance for later spring warmth during warm spells.
