I also loved all the "it's summer, it's gonna be hot" arguments. Spoken like true subtropique residents.

Whenever I see a post from Easthome, I have a massive urge to track him down and punch him until he shits his pants. I can't stand that massive .

This August has been rather benign, today was a bit hotter than normal (93 F with a 77 F dew point at it's peak at HWO) but nothing out of the ordinary. People are just fuckwits. I even showed her the stats that this month has been benign and she tried to argue that "how do I know those stats are real"....because they're from the fucking National Weather Service. But right, some dumb random on FB is more of a reliable source than the National Weather Service. People's stupidity is astounding.

In the second half of August "Winter is almost here" or "No more hot weather" First of all, it's not like the temperature immediately drops to 60F the moment the calendar flips to September. Average high at the start of September in NYC is about 81F. Not as hot as mid-July obviously, but still plenty hot. Not to mention that over the past few years some very powerful heat waves have come in September. On some years September is actually warmer than June. First half of September can still feel very summery and we can still get 90F days. Just because it's September 1st doesn't mean that we are magically getting fall weather come on

This sentence can be heard quite frequently here: There's no such thing as bad weather (vær), only bad clothes (klær). These profound words of wisdom was probably created by a sadistic psychopath back in the dark ages.

How the fuck is that? The less clothes the better. Why do you want thick and heavy clothing affecting your mobility? Wrong again, ignoramus Less clothing makes you look & feel GAY, so winter clothing (jackets etc) are much better and more comfortable.

Recent headline: "Fall weather is finally here". Yeah... these 20-22°C highs are normal in mid-July. Current normal highs are 18-19°C and it only feels like fall when it starts dropping below 15°C.

Lol....fall winter? First off, fall and winter are two different seasons. Secondly....it's not even September yet for fucks sake. Let's hold our horses for a bit.

I'm all for doubling the seasons. Lapland is known for having five seasons (the additional spring-winter) but I think September with fall colors and hoodie weather is a differeny season to hovering around freezing with snow on the ground half the time in November if you ask me.

Just because September and November are the same season, doesn't mean they'll have the same weather, just like March and May don't have the same weather. They're the edge of the seasons. September is bordering summer while November borders winter. It's simply early vs. late fall. And at 65 N, of course November will be winter-like. Most mid-latitude places that have cold, snowy winters aren't snow covered yet in November, though they'll probably have bare trees, meaning it's late fall.
