Roughly something like this Almost like you simply used the annual snowfall map. No correlations at all here

Roughly something like this Almost like you simply used the annual snowfall map. No correlations at all here I just realized that map uses rather old normals. Places like Bismarck and Minot now average around 50" of snow a year.

That makes more sense, yes I was looking at it earlier and thought it looked a bit odd as well. even on the western part of ND, Dickenson averages 35.5" at their airport, so basically those colours in western MN should shift to western ND

I just realized that map uses rather old normals. Places like Bismarck and Minot now average around 50" of snow a year. It also places Pittsburgh in the 24-36" range which is wrong. 81-2010 was 41.4" now its 44.1" so we should be in the lighter purple shade close to the darker purple shade. Funny for as half assed as this map is, the detail they put around LA and lack of pretty much everywhere else

Herp de derp map.

Funny for as half assed as this map is, the detail they put around LA and lack of pretty much everywhere else The area around LA is only detailed because it's mountainous, and this creates a large snowfall gradient. The LA Basin gets nothing on average and the foothill regions get the odd dusting, but the San Gabriel Mountains rack up pretty high totals.
Anyway yeah this map is out of date (has NYC in 12"-24" zone, updated average is 24"-30", some LI stations still in the 12"-24" zone though), but still gets the point across, which is that annual snowfall is basically the only thing that matters to Speags when grading a climate

It's quite important, but far from the only thing. Tahoe is one of the snowiest locations in the US and only gets a C from me

The Channel Islands are not part of the UK, but would be graded C or C-.

Iberian version Portugal doesn't have many B climates, goes from C to A quickly. Spain has a surprising amount of shitty climates. Not as freezing as Northern Italy, but somehow cloudier and have tons of winter rain which is worse.

You endorsing Catalan independence? You just triggered most Spaniards.

Also the reason I put south Texas firmly into the "shit" category is because their winters are so crazy they make Melbourne summers look stable. Hot one day and blizzards the next

Harrisburg is 40.3/24.9 (mean 32.6) for January and 87.6/67.4 (mean 77.3) for July versus 36.3/21.4 (mean 28.8) Jan and 82.9/63.4 (mean 73.2) for July in Pittsburgh. You are also putting places like this in meh en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurel_Hill_(Pennsylvania)
