It's reverted back to showing colder and snow again. Clearly still a bit "hit or miss" at this point out, but the chance is still not bad for a "white christmas".  |

You guys are lucky. I've still never experienced a White Christmas and it's definitely not going to happen this year. The forecast says 6Β°C and rain this Saturday.

A nice Xmas Day forecast in Jurien Bay ( about half way up the coast between Perth and Geraldton ie; 220klm north of Perth ) If that 46c temp eventuates it will a record all time high for the sie ( data since 1969 ) The Dec mean max is 28.3c.  Even Geraldton is getting in on the act with a 45c in the forecast on Xmas Day.  Extreme heatwave conditions forecast Xmas Day-Boxing Day for the south western coastal regions of Western Australia.   |

Finland expects a white Christmas nationwide
Low pressure will sweep across Finland, which means even the southern part of the country will have snow cover over the holiday period.
inland will wake up the morning of Christmas Eve to a winter wonderland, according to a forecast from the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
The day before, on December 23, a low pressure system will sweep across the country, meaning that even the southern part of Finland will get some snow cover. The amount of snow, however, varies from more than thirty centimetres in the north and east of Finland, to a few centimetres in southwestern Finland.
"In other words, Santa can distribute gifts to children in a snow-covered winter wonderland, even if it is a thin layer," says meteorologist Sini Tenhunen from the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
The holiday period will mostly be spent in cold weather, although in southwest Finland the temperature may rise just above freezing on Thursday. On Christmas Eve, however, the temps are expected to be -10 to -15 all over the country.
