A few partial solar eclipse pics under a solar filter this afternoon here. Not a single cloud in the sky, got lucky in that regard.

The eclipse happened to fall within the 9 hour window of cloud after 57 hours of clear skies and just 150 minutes before it cleared up. However it was still cool so hereβs some pics. Full overcast but the clouds were interesting at least: > 3:06 PM, 14 minutes before totality 3:13 PM, 7 minutes before totality < Getting noticeably darker, especially apparent on the horizon. This is at 3:16 PM, 4 minutes before totality. > < While we couldnβt see the corona, the clouds did make the totality look like a sunset with some yellows. Hereβs a pic from totality with light on the horizon: Looking off in the other direction:

Steelernation I would've fucking topped myself. Don't even try to justify that bullshit kick in the guts by making excuses for that slate grey horse shit. Don't even try and justify those fucking clouds.

sari Yeah I would like to be at the North Cape/Tignish for that. April 8th, 2024 is a Monday by the way. Weirdly prophetic. Fark.
