Again, a couple of different Albany's, two in CONUS and one in Western Australia. Climatically and culturally different....Yankee, Deep South and the WA one is a whole different world to the south eastern states of AU too. Albany, NY Albany, Western Australia So Albany, WA has an almost unique climate in Australia....facing the Southern Ocean and the Indian Ocean and every now and then being succeptible to hot north easterlies from the interior of the Continent. frontal westerlies and deep Indian Ocean lows create an 'interesting' climate. So the Wikibox is always from the newer AWS at the Airport, 12 kilometers inland from the City site ( records only from 2012. The old town site is almost on the coast, and has records dating back to 1907. and although 12 kilometers doesn't sound like a big distance, well, climatically the two sites are very different re rainfall and max and min temps. This is the town site And the newer AWS site at the Airport Albany, GA What a magnificent street !

Albany, GA
Very easy decision. It's the only one with a three-month warm summer (in fact, it has five warm months), winters are actually comfortable, and it gets a good amount of precipitation year-round. Albany, WA has better record highs and slightly warmer winters but those arid mild crummers are pathetic.

Albany AU is the winner for me. The GA one is good too but the AU one wins it for its superior Mediterranean precipitation pattern, despite having the worse temps.

All are disappointing in their own ways. But I'd go with the AUS one only by a hair. The Georgian one was such a close call, but those muggy summers will suffocate me.

Albany, NY. Nice, solid four-season climate. Albany, GA is way too warm and Albany, WA would probably bore me to tears.

Albany, NY by far. Then GA, then WA.
Btw the first pic of Albany, GA is actually from the NY one. Agree about the streets, Americans know how to make urban canopies.

Albany, NY. Nice, solid four-season climate. Albany, GA is way too warm and Albany, WA would probably bore me to tears. Cimatically, Albany WA gets the erratic, changeable weather of the southern coasts.....the big frontal squalls of a Southern Indian Ocean westerly are anything but boring haha. Summers are often decidedly cool, then the hottest days can be in March or April. The rest of AU, indeed even Western Aussies think their version of Albany has a fucked up climate....lol ! Comparisons 2022 Albany Airport site and Town site....note the 44.2c day 5th Feb at the Airport and same day in Town only 28.5c !

Albany, NY easily. I've been there and it's a very nice city.
The WA one looks comfortable and livable. Albany, GA has the typical awful summers of the south so I'll pass on that one.

NY for snow and cooler summers compared to GA.
WA isn't bad but very boring compared to the other two choices.

The New York one seems the best, since it's a decent 4-season climate with ample rain and snow.

I will choose the Western Australian one just over the Georgian [the U.S. state] one, as the muggy summers and occasional winter cold spells worse than the lack of summer precipitation. The New York one is definitely last for me: too cold throughout most of the year.
