For a subarctic climate, it isn't too shabby, as the sunshine is better than most (although still not enough). It earns a E+ The winters are definitely too long and prolonged; but the summers are decent (as short as they are). There is too much snow, but that's a given for subarctic climates; and rainfall is not too excessive.

E, with significant problems with temperature and sunshine. Too cold, snowy winters and too cool, cloudy summers restricts vegetation to low productivity taiga forests, limiting agricultural potential. On the bright side, some summer days can be mild and sunny; and being disgracefully cold for its latitude allows for stronger sunshine (making it feel less cold).
