Braemar already had threads with climate battle and classification question, but not a rate one. It's the closest official weather station from Balmoral Castle, where the Queen Elizabeth II spent her final days. 7 Decades, 15 Prime Ministers, 1 Queen. Condolences to the Royal family and British people.

Worse than the KĂ€ndel climate. It's livable, but that's it, E/E-.

A+ by British standards.
Didn't realize the queen lived in such a shithole climate.

D for me. Queen Victoria used to enjoy the cooler temps at Balmoral. In her diary she mentions snow in September a few times.

Bleak. Only 1200-odd hours of sun for the year, and it's only barely been warm once on record.

Good thread to honour Her Majestyâs legacy.
That said itâs a piece of shit climate due to the complete absence of anything resembling a summer. Good amounts of cold winter rain and a semi-Mediterranean precipitation pattern are saving graces to warrant this climate a D- grade.

Yes I would. Vostok Station gets 3700 hours of sun per year at least. Yeah and youâd just be able to look at it out your window. Canât go outside without being extremely bundled up every single day and I donât think you can imagine how cold -80 f is, and itâs like that for months.
