4. I dislike dry, browned-out summers. Rain should be distributed evenly between seasons or concentrated in the warmer months.

5 - Extremely important
Precipitation pattern is the first thing I look at when judging a climate, followed by temps. A med pattern is basically a requirement for me. I think brown grass in summer is aesthetically pleasing.
For me, summer is the season of endless dry, sunny days and virtually no rain.

3/5. Precip pattern isn't very important, some warm rain in the form of storms in summer is enjoyable and good for gardening and I don't do cold damp rainy shit in winter though.

3/5 I like high rainfall climates, and preferably this high rainfall is either concentrated in the high sun season or equally distributed. But I wouldn't consider a climate bad just because of the winter max precipitation but it should have at least light summer rain.
I do accept completely dry winters, but not completely dry summers.
My favorite climates are Af, Am, Cwb and Cfb (tropical highland version not mid-latitude west coast version), so this tells a lot about my precipitation preferences.

Changed to 3/5. Every season needs some rain. I'd be more willing to accept a dry winter than summer, but no precip pattern would tank a climate grade as long as the total precip is enough. The best med climates are those with thunderstorms and somewhat humid summers (on the real Mediterranean Sea).
