Two places with the same name, but one has strong continental influences while the other has strong maritime influences. Hobart, TAS, Australia Hobart, OK, USA

The only time I've been to Hobart in Tasmania, ( January 1997 ), we actually had a 38c day....fucken near killed me....haha.....burnt to a frazzle. Locals were dropping like flies from the heat. Summer and winter in one week of the summer month of January.

Oklahoma
I'll put up with very slightly colder winters in exchange for variability and an actually warm summer.

Tassie reluctantly. Not a fan of Oklahoma climates.

The Oklahoma one for having warmer, stormy springs and hot, relatively dry summers.

Tasmania, itโs like a slightly more continental San Francisco.

The Oklahoma one seems more interesting. Hobart, TAS is too mild year round.

One of the few surprising instances where I choose a non-Californian climate over an Aussie one (rarely would I choose a midwest or southern climate over an Aussie one)! The Oklahoman one is an interesting find. Looks like something out of Utah or Arizona - A very unique climate with those very hot summers and relatively mild winters that are not cold enough for the climate to be "continental". I expected something like Cincinnati or Dallas.
