A mountain resort versus a lowland city. Which climate do you prefer? Fez, elevation 414 m (1,358 ft)Fez is Morocco's second-largest city. It is regarded as Morocco's cultural and spiritual capital. University of Al-Qarawiyyin, founded in 857, claimed by some to be the world's oldest university. The Fez hat, which was popular in the Ottoman Empire in the 1800s, takes its name from this city, where the crimson berries used to dye these hats came from. Though these hats were not produced in Fez. Keep in mind that the airport is about 500 feet higher than the city. Ifrane, elevation 1,665 m (5,463 ft)
Not far away from Fez is Ifrane, a mountain resort town. From 1912 to 1956, most of Morocco was a French protectorate, with the remainder being ruled by Spain. To escape the summer heat, the French colonial authorities decided to build a hill station in the Atlas mountains, founding Ifrane in 1929.

Cold lovers find another climate in Africa beside Ifrane challenge: impossible
That said, I'll choose it here because Fes is just way too dry.

Mind you there are quite a few snowy places in South Africa with the Drakensberg ranges rising to more than 11,400 feet (3,475m ) The mountains to the north of Cape Town also see regular winter snowfalls. www.naturesgarden.co.za/life-made-simple-45/

Fez wins this one, but I'd probably escape to Ifrane in the winters. That combination is basically equal to my actual dream climate

There are cooler climates than Ifrane in South Africa/Lesotho (and in the Maghreb), but Ifrane always steals the show.

I’ll go with Fez because the temps are pretty much ideal. That being said, this was a tough choice for me as I appreciate Ifrane’s intense winter/spring rains. Ifrane’s shoulder seasons are way too chilly though.

I vote for Fez, but I might vote for Ifrane if its winter warmed up at a steady rate instead of dragging on like it does
