I thought being inland would make it much colder than it was! 16C is still warmer than Adelaide in winter right?  Yep, by about a degree. It's the winter nights that get cold from being inland. The days are warmer than the coast as the southern ocean is cold year round so there is strong daytime cooling by the coast. |

Yeah I can imagine it's a bit of a California effect there at those latitudes. The San Fernando Valley is a lot warmer during the day than say Santa Monica or Malibu in January, but I was still surprised to a degree given the lower heat source during summers and therefore less background heat in the air than east of LA.

Heavy rain sweeping in again. Sounds like us yesterday evening. Rather surprisingly high strength being this late in the summery season. When in the year is your place's peak rainfall strength? Ours is definitely in mid-July to early August. |

It almost looks like we have a hurricane outside here, my palms in my front garden are being blown horizontal & the wind is gusting to 80km/h... Warm though.

The last few weeks of summer, and now the beginning of autumn, have both been pretty cool. This September feels more like a typical start to October with most days being between 17 and 19C.
As has been mentioned above, we are well overdue a cool Autumn. Hopefully a cold winter too! Snowwwwww please this winter. 4 years since I last saw snow on the ground.
Currently 14.8C and mostly clear at 19:31, after a high of 18.3C.

here it's 14.5C and merely overcast. Quite heavy humidity as well. It felt warmer than it actually was considering how cloudy it was when I rode home an hour ago.
