2.1c at 15:00, rain, overcast. Today we got our first snow, right now there is 1-2cm wet snow and sleet on the ground. It snowed in nightime, it has rained or drizzled most of daytime, thus it is slippery and conditions on the roads are very bad. Snow, like it is a trend on recent years, came early.

9c and mostly cloudy at 20:42.
I've been here a week and a half and it feels like the middle of January in London, but much windier.

9c and mostly cloudy at 20:42. I've been here a week and a half and it feels like the middle of January in London, but much windier. Still in Stavanger? Last ten days in Stavanger (VΓ₯land, 72 m) averages 13C/9C (high/low). Is January really that warm in London? According to wikipedia, avg in London in Jan is 8C/2C. However, days in Stavanger in late Oct certainly are shorter than in London. Sun setting at 18:00 in Stavanger today. You have also had some wet days. Flooding SE of Stavanger in this period (South coast). Windy, yes. Stavanger is one of the windiest cities in Norway, due to the flat terrain around the city - untypical for Norway. No hills really to protect it from the North Sea. Just south of Stavanger, where the airport is and further south, is a very flat coastal plain (JΓ¦ren).

It has felt colder than 13c while I've been here, and I haven't really been paying much attention to the actual temps. It's not uncommon to have 13c days in January in London, but they usually feel warmer than this with the stronger sun and calmer conditions. I just checked the forecast for the next week and it's mostly cloudy or rainy with highs of 7-11c. That would be very typical in London in January (but fewer rainy days).

The 91-20 averages will be more like 9c/3c though.
