The first part of a long series of climate battles featuring the highest weather stations of each country. To be included, a country must have a station with the following: - elevation greater than or equal to 100 m (328 ft) - at least 5 years of data for max temp, min temp, and precipitation in every month Since many of these stations are very obscure with data that is hard to find, it can be tricky to filter out bad data so there will probably be some things that look funky. Hopefully it won't be too bad though. In many cases, a higher station exists but there is insufficient data to calculate averages. Any country/territory/dependency with a qualifying station and its own country code will be included: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-2Starting from the lowest stations first: 1. Hershey, Belize (100 m/328 ft):2. Guernsey Airport, Guernsey (Channel Islands) (101 m/331 ft):3. Mykines, Faroe Islands (105 m/344 ft):4. Norfolk Island Airport, Norfolk Island (112 m/367 ft):5. Taipa Grande, Macau (113 m/371 ft):

Great idea!
Norfolk Island is the least offensive option here

Hard choice but I'll go with Norfolk as it's the sunniest.

Norfolk Island, for being subtropical and having a relatively dry summer and wet winter.
Love these type of threads!

Hershey has a great tropical climate, nothing even approaching a chill in the air during the day, mind you cools off enough at night to be comfortable, enough rain in the dry season to keep the countryside nice and green all year around. Don't need to own expensive warm clothes, or even shoes....tropical paradise, providing the natives are not restless.....

Despite the abundance of rainfall, NI sometimes suffers droughts, where the countryside completely browns off, although when I worked there in Feb 2002, it was lush and green.

Good thread I hope it continues!
Norfolk Island wins pretty easily here, given its competition are sweaty tropical climates or subarctic hellholes lol

Great thread idea! I pick Norfolk Island for the comfortable climate. The weather box is entirely orange in the temps section lol

Excellent thread idea, keep it up! I think I'll go with Hershey, Belize here. The complete lack of temps in the 90s in Norfolk Island would get old quick.

Guernsey, delightful climate. Flew there once on a three engine piston Trislander airliner.

Guernsey but I'm tempted to pick Norfolk.
Guernsey: Comfortable, some seasons, some chance of heat and cold but no consistent warmth. Norfolk: Also very comfortable, mild to warm all year but never hot. Boring but comfortable.

Guernsey for not being too hot or cold with decent seasonality.
