CA. The ukraine one isn't too bad though, also managing 33mm of rain without a precipitation day is impressive.

The Crimea one easily.
Those precipitation days are a bit suspicious to say the least. Either they're outright fake or the threshold is like 5mm.

Tempted to pick Ukraine to avoid CA's polar crummer lows (and cold, wet winters) but I'll go with CA for being warmer and sunnier overall.

Russian. Not Ukrainian. Did you know some Ukrainians think Russians aren't Slavic though? Fucken hell! Berlin in May 1945, German women knew Red Army soldiers weren't Slavic....many of the frontline divisions in the final assault on Berlin were from east of the Urals and were feared as 'Siberians'....

The Crimean Peninsular prior to WW2 had a substantial ethnically Turkic language speaking population. After the Red Army liberated the Crimea from the Germans in 1944, Stalin ordered the mass deportation of the Crimean Tartars thousands of kilometers away to the Stan provinces. This was a collective punishment for an ethnic minority that were regarded as collaborators with the occupying Germans.
