Should be a bit more thought provoking? 26. Burkes Garden, Virginia— 3,068’ (935 m)27. Caesars Head, South Carolina— 3,200’ (975 m)28. Mountain City, Georgia*— 3,464’ (1,056 m)29. Goodland, Kansas— 3,651’ (1,112 m)30. Mount Mansfield, Vermont— 3,950’ (1,204 m)* Mountain City has very spotty data and the snowfall and precipitation days aren’t official normals, the next station with complete normals was 1500’ lower though so I used it Goodland for me, not the A climate it once was but still quite solid and easily the best here.

Goodland is the good one but only compared to the others

Caesars Head. Basically tied with Mountain City but has warmer lows and precipitation more heavily concentrated in summer.

Mountain City isn’t too bad. Temperate rainforest that beats Caesars Head because its winters are slightly wetter and summers slightly drier.

Caesars Head, as it has higher record highs than Mountain City.

Goodland, KS for the best summers

Pretty bad selection.
I'll go with Goodland as it isn't stupidly wet and gets some nice cold snaps and thunderstorms. The clear winner!

Goodland
Having a warm summer is important. Winters are scarcely colder than in a couple of others either.

Caesar's Head for being the most temperate.

Caesars head. Only going to get worse from here. Funny how the lowest high points were mostly frigid while the 3000 feet points are likely to be the most temperate we get

Also no way the Mansfield station is at the elevation listed for it on this thread. The tree like in New England is barely higher than that. That station is probably around 2000 feet if I had to guess

And how cold do you think Vermont is? No way a climate at 1900’ would be that cold

Mountain City. I did have to think more on this one. Goodland is decent but summer highs are too much and it doesn't get that much snow either. The huge temperature swings are interesting but I'll take the wetter, cooler summers in Mountain City instead. Winter there is stuck right around freezing which is not ideal but the other places are all much wetter, more than I like.

Burke's Garden for being fairly seasonal and also wet.

Caeser's Head for all that handsome rain. Burkes Garden would be my second choice.

Caesar's Head, marginally warmer than Mountain City, and wetter than Goodland
