Falling snow, doesn't have to stick. Also for the purpose of the poll anywhere in the Bay Area at sea level without hills intervening between the bay counts. So: Berkeley and San Jose yes, Walnut Creek no. Not going to do the troll question: will San Francisco see more snow than NYC but it's so so tempting

In San Francisco proper? Nah, temps look too warm (models & NWS has temps not going below 40ยฐF). In the low-elevation Bay Area near San Francisco (e.g. San Jose, Berkeley)? It might, so I vote yes.

Some hill in San Francisco proper will see snowflakes fall certainly. Mount Davidson sits at 928ftasl and snow levels are dropping below 1000ftasl. Will it accumulate there? Perhaps on grassy surfaces, but I wouldnโt consider that to be a true accumulating snowfall.
The more aggressive modelling does show snow literally at sea level though, so I guess itโs possible. Again, probably just on grassy surfaces so not enough to register accumulation.

The Bay Area has seen snow in the past so theyโll see it again some day.

Probably not in the areas at sea level. I hope Iโm wrong though. Hills close to 1000ft definitely.

seriously, there's not enough cold air. Cold is coming from the west off the Pacific so anything at sea level will be moderated. maybe a few flakes could sneak through but nothing sticking

looks like convective cooling might be just enough for some flakes to reach sea level

God if these motherfuckers are getting snow surely we're due If we were to get these fucking weather patterns we are constantly getting during these ever colder crummers in winter, then it would.

Windy app says no for San Francisco proper (maybe possibly Twin Peaks or the hills on the peninsula will get some flurries?) Seems possible for some parts of San Jose during the weekend.
For whatever reason the Windy app thinks downtown Los Angeles will experience flurries early on next week.

San Francisco never saw snow, and at least one person changed their vote after the fact because there used to be 5 yes votes.

San Francisco never saw snow, and at least one person changed their vote after the fact because there used to be 5 yes votes. Technically I cheated since it was after the event, but that was me. I never believed that San Francisco proper would see snow, I voted yes only because of the possibility of a few flakes in the Bay Area, as mentioned earlier.
