A mix of Place 5 and Place 7 would be cool, like Place 7 winters with Place 5 summers. A climate like that would undoubtedly have dry winters and wet summers, but I think I'd prefer wet all year in that climate, with winters slightly drier than summers.

A ClimaSim Study of Humbled Planet's Continental TemperaturesPart 1
Humbled, where the humble people live, is a planet which has a tilt and everything else the same as the earth, except that the arrangement of continents is different. It is 76% sea and 24% land. Therefore, temperatures tend to be less dramatic than Earth Planet. In Part 1, we are looking at the temperatures of the continent of Nweeland, which as the name implies, is the most north-west continent on Humbled, where the humble people live. This continent is rather limited to 19° latitude range, between 51 and 70°N, and it is quite longitudinally broad. Due to its high latitudes, temperatures are cool. Southern-most climates near the coast are the mildest and most moderated; most people live in this area which is in the south-east. Interior southern zones see a warmer summer maximum temperature; winters of course get dramatically colder. Then, as one heads north and west along the panhandle, so does the climate become increasingly bone-chilling, with poor summers. In the western/northern coasts in particular, one wil; also find awful summers with little warmth experienced at all. FIG 1. THE MAP OF HUMBLED - NWEELAND IS THE NORTHWESTERN MOST CONTINENT Anyway, we shall now take a look at the climates of individual towns on Nweeland. Port Precocious has the mildest climate on Nweeland, as it is located on the south-eastern coast. Summer maximum temperatures are not worth much, due to maritime moderation, however. Yet it is a pleasant and decent oceanic climate with little extreme in temperature. Winters are a godsend compared to most of the continent. The old city of Farncoln benefits from being a few miles inland, whereby the summers are milder in the daytime, and winters barely cooler at all. It has a very decent oceanic climate. It's probably as good as it gets on the continent. Poonapol, a medium sized town, is more inland and higher up, but is clearly to be considered one of the southern maritimes of the continent with a pleasant climate. Seeville, a port town on the western part of the southern maritimes region, has poor summers, which are cloudy and humid, and a cool winter. But it isn't anything like as bad as the horror shows we shall see later. A charming inland town, Sixtine is considered one of the inland southern maritimes, but it does have a typically frosty winter, with cold overnight low temperatures. But, it most certainly has the best summers in the whole continent - warm days, with only slightly cooler nights. Noname, not being a million miles from Sixtine, has a similar sort of climate. It has the highest average maximum temperature of any location on the continent in July. Cuckdell is a hicktown on the panhandle, with an inland location. The winters are cold, but not fiercely so. The summers are poor. Bewmelly is an inland town on the border between the panhandle and the middle-east bar, and it has at least a modicom of warmth in peak summer, which fast declines after a few mere weeks. The winters are starting to get rather fiendishly cold. Westport, as its name suggests, is a port town on the western coast of the panhandle. Its winters, while moderated compared to inland, are still bone chilling, especially with the ubiquitous hideous wind chill effect. It is the summers of course, which are remarkably dreadful at this location, being the coldest on the continent by day. Truly a depressing place to live. Gueber, a small town of depressed alcoholics, is a bit inland within the panhandle, and suffers from stone cold winters, and short, poor summers which can scarcely be enjoyed. Innpass may be the most "continental" of Nweeland's climates. This town has disastrously cold winters, the coldest possibly in the land. It also, however, seems to get reasonable warmth in July - but it cools down very fast. The aptly named city of Chillblaine has the coldest climate on the continent. Located near the north coast, the winters are not only stone cold misery, but the summers are also dreadful, but not quite the coldest maxes, which are found in Westport. Chillblaine really does have a shithole climate.

A ClimaSim Study of Humbled Planet's Continental Temperatures Part 2.1NOW, WE HAVE THE CLIMATES OF GLOBGLOGABGALABLAND, THE CONTINENT IN THE CENTRE OF THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE.
The North-West region of Globglogabgalabland is in a yellow square, these climates we shall study.
Westwestry Harbour is a port town on the north west coast, and so it’s not surprising the climate is similar to the southern maritimes of Nweeland to its west. This is a boring oceanic climate, with cold winters, though not freezing, and cool summers.
Now, Oglublugbloton is a town located somewhat inland, westwards of Westwestry, and as such it has warmer summer days, and colder winter nights in particular. The climate is not dissimilar to a dump called Buxton, Derbyshire in England, UK.
Directly to the south, on the coast, we have Port Morrison, which is relatively free-er of frosts, and also has more humid summers. It is, nonetheless, typical of a northern maritime climate, and no better than much found in southern Nweeland.
So, moving to the very north coast of the continent, we have the city of Reflux, which is one of the coldest in this land. It is still oceanic and cannot compare to the stone-coldness of those Nweeland climates, of course.
On the northern tip, a bit inland from the north east coast, is this town. It really is a cool oceanic dump very similar to the above. The summers here are truly awful.
This lovely town has an inland location, in the northernmost part of the continent. So it is here where we start to see warmer summer temperatures, though winters are prone to frost.
Further inland, and to the southwest, the climate just improves further. For the first time, summer average max temps exceed 20°C. Maxes can reach into the mid-30°C, and rarely, even higher. Winters, though, may still be frosty.
Further south and east, we get to a coastal city, which is a major port, and has moderated temperatures compared to inland, with less frost in winter, and milder lows in summer.
Going some distance further south-west and inland, is this lovely city, Atlanile, which has a comfortable climate that most can appreciate. Due to its warmer summers, there are sometimes thunderstorms in summer, which are rare in previously mentioned places. The summers are warm, and the winters are mild but sometimes frosty at night. The springs warm up quite quickly.
Finally in this region, is the coastal city of Ocean Acre; the city which is the furthest south in the region, and is also a resort for those disadvantaged folks from further north. Frost is nearly unheard of, but the maritime moderation causes a slow spring warm, and poor summer highs, albeit humidity and warm overnight lows.
Below is a picture of some fat from the town of Reflux, on holiday on Ocean Acre promenade, sweating profusely in the 19°C drizzly conditions.

A ClimaSim Study of Humbled Planet's Continental Temperatures Part 2.2 The Mid-West region of Globglogabgalabland. There are 20 cities and towns in this area. Here, the climate gets rapidly warmer and subtropical, with hot summers developing as we head south-eastwards.Part 2.2.1 These 10 climates are the 10 north-western towns/cities in the Mid-West region. Part 2.2.2 to be added later.
Joblem is the most north-westerly settlement in this region, with very mild winters compared to the North-West region already, though the summers are somewhat moderated.
Much further inland to the south-east, the summers warm up much quicker, and we are now below 45°N latitude. Winters are really mild despite being more inland. Summers are now very warm.
South-west of Sextember, but not quite on the coast, is the city of Middlewest. It sees clearly more moderation in its climate. Winters are particularly mild. Summers are described as “the finest in the land”.
Moving eastwards across the coast we have the town of Port Trop, which is considered to have a truly subtropical climate, with very warm summers and an absence of frosts.
Moving much further inwards and inland, this place is also a bit further north, with more seasonality. Summers are starting to look a bit hot.
South-east of this, and on the coast is the shipping town of Port Moran, which has very warm and humid summers, and mild subtropical winters. A truly mild humid climate indeed, which may start to feel uncomfortable.
Now getting right below the 40th parallel is this inland town of Todja, which has a rather moderated climate being much further west. The summers are most similar to Port Moran, despite the distance, and the winters far milder again.
Right on the coast, to the south-west of Todja is this very very mild port town of Yeaeauly. There is massive seasonal lag, and incredibly mild winter lows. The sun is fierce but huge ocean moderation makes for a comfortable if warm humid summertime.
Olllifant is a town which is much further eastwards and inland. Summers are starting to be hot, and winters very mild indeed.
Finally for the north-western part of the Mid-West region, Pentistone is a harbour city with a very mild climate. It is at the same parallel as Yeaeauly, but cooler winters and hotter summers, which really are starting to be hot and humid.
A family enjoys ice creams on the beach at Pentistone.

A ClimaSim Study of Humbled Planet's Continental TemperaturesPart 2.2 The Mid-West region of Globglogabgalabland. There are 20 cities and towns in this area. Here, the climate gets rapidly warmer and subtropical, with hot summers developing as we head south-eastwards.
Part 2.2.2These 10 climates are the 10 east/south-eastern towns/cities in the Mid-West region. Here climates get deep subtropical with very hot summers starting to appear, and warm winters. On the 40th parallel and somewhat inland, we have the city of Wrexmadog. Despite being further north that places in the NW part of Mid-West, it has the warmest summer highs so far. Port Electric is a town on the east coast, which is slightly further north that Wrexmadog. Note the increased seasonal lag, and the lows and subdued highs from the ocean. Much further south and inland on the 35th parallel is the town of Caproll which has a truly warm subtropical climate with hot summers. Even winters can get warm days. Directly east of Caproll is the city of Bakkir, which has an even hotter summer still and is the first town with avg. highs over 30 degrees in summer. Next and well to the SW is the town of Dick Head. Subtropicality goes up a notch, with muggy nights and 30 degree days in summer. Winters are truly warm with double figure lows. Mean temp over 20 at this point. Now near the north-east coast of southern Mid-West, is the town of Nokandu. Seasonal lag is large, and the more north location and coastal influence means less searing summers. The city of Yup is located much further down the coast from the above town, and therefore is considerably milder, but not extremely hot, though the nights are indeed humid and warm. This next town is much further inland and south between the 35/36th parallels. It has warm winters and hot summers. This town, the town of Inner Delter, has an inland location and is second most south in the Mid-West region. Summers really are hot here, unsurprisingly. The most southern town in Mid-West region, the town of Blancmange, which has a bit of coastal influence as well. A man relaxes in one of the cool caves located near Port Electric, where he can escape the heat.

Coeurania - The only continent/island in the planet Annual January July The most populous & capital city on the continent/island A photo of an average Coeuranian citizen at local café while waiting his friends. The high soared to 31°C that day, heatwave at its peak but residents don't mind as much cooler weather is expected in the coming weeks.

This is another climate sim calculator that lets you calculate the type of climate of your own worlds if you create heightmaps but it won't show temps by season averages or anything however. space.geometrian.com/calcs/climate-sim.php

ClimaSim versions of New Florida CitiesYears ago I made several of the dream climates for cities in my continent of New Florida (which can be found typing that name into the search function). Making New Florida on Clima-Sim is challenging because of Clima-Sim's very low resolution. That means some cities are inaccurate. However, most of the mid-latitude climates look plausible; where it seems to have dropped the ball is with the tropical cities which appear much too cool.

A ClimaSim Study of Humbled Planet's Continental Temperatures Part 2.3Part 2.3.2.2 This is the second part of the eastern section of the Mid-South part of Globglogabgalabland, Humbled. This area is sub-tropical/tropical and humid. There are seventeen cities/towns in the eastern side of Mid-South Region, the last eight of these climates we see below. On the east coast is the port town Lydney. Winter is warm, and summer while hot, is tolerable. Inland and to the west is the small town of Misbrane, by inland standards it is not too bad, as the nights cool down a lot. The port city of Birff, on the coast, below the 20th parallel. Very warm humid and oppressive much of the year. Pudii (rhymes with Dubai) is inland to the east on the 20th parallel. It still “cools off” a lot at night. A town directly east of the former, but even more humid. Right down at the south-west of the region is this town. It is hot all year round. Puategawa is near to the sea and the second most southern town in the region, so bloody hot all the time. This port city is right on the very south-east coast of the region, and very humid and moderated. It is warmest in the region, obviously. A woman enjoys a cocktail on the beach with a thunderstorm in the background, a typical scene in this region.
