Grants Pass is a city in southern Oregon. Its motto is "It's the climate!" What is it about this climate?

E+
Been there multiple times.
Gross, dreary winters with hardly any snow or cold temps.
Very hot summers, no thunderstorms, and endless sunshine.
Similar to Methford.

D. Too much winter rain and not enough summer rain. Temperatures are okay.

A-, great but just a bit chilly, especially the lows. Awesome climate still.

C-. Respectable summer highs, that's about it. Summer lows need to be at least a few degrees higher for it to qualify as having a "real summer" IMO. The winters just look depressing. They're cool, wet and cloudy but not properly cold and snowy. I'd probably prefer a more continental climate over this. But this is still better than anywhere in NZ IMO.

C-The winters are better than my own (40s and rain >>> 20s and snow), and the summers would be great if it weren't for those arctic average and record lows (freezes in June and August ).

"What is it about the climate" nothing. The climate sucks. D-/E+ I don't get it either. At least Redwood City has a pleasant climate year-round.

I rather like this climate though. Temperatures are decent, and the contrast between the tiny diurnals in winter and huge diurnals in summer is interesting. Good precipitation pattern, too many rainy days in winter though. B+

Every single shithole town makes the claim that its boring ass climate is the best in the world, it's hardly unique.

C+ Summer is too dry and cold at night, winter is too mild and rainy. Classic Oregon climate problems.

D+ Nice crispy summers, winters too cool but not the worst. Far better than trash like Detroit and Chicago.

The city motto has it right…clearly the climate is awesome and contributes to the appeal of the place
