-15C isn't extremely cold.
Maybe by Melbourne standards it is, but it's really not. A lot of American cities get much colder in an average winter.
And Melbourne is 'extremely cold' by Australian standards . It all depends on your perspective. For real. Melbourne’s lowest temperature record is only -2.5C. Melbourne is even sunnier and warmer than my location at 28 degrees south. For comparison, the lowest temperature recorded here is -10.4C

St. Petersburg is superior IMO (C): 6 months of pleasant weather is better than 5 months in Moscow (D). Also, FL has much more storms and much better diurnals.
