I could chose Sydney for a better agricultural climate, but Port Macquarie looks more seasonal/interesting with more chance of snow? Absolutely no possbility of anything even resembling snow at a coastal location like Port Macquarie.. Need to head west ( inland } into some elevated high ground ( at least 600-700m asl ) and there are flurries every few years, with heavier falls at the 900m-1200m asl locations.

Sydney easily, it's got a winter rain peak and better temps than all the others.

Rain has a peak in June in coastal Sydney only because east coast lows can intense in that month -- when they are (although they can hit anytime between March and June). Without ECLs, June can be pretty dry, like the latter winter months (which are the driest times of the year, mainly due to the foehn effect/rain shadow from the Great Dividing Range). Overall, the most rainiest months here are between Jan-March, particularly February. Here is a more representative suburb of wider Sydney area (notice the Feb rainfall peak):

Brisbane, for not being too wet and having a warm sunny dry season

Close between Sydney and Port Macquarie, but I'll go with Sydney for not being too wet

June in the Eastern ( coastal ) suburbs including the CBD can be wet in June, often from ECL's which generally don't make it very far inland. I was in Sydney in June 2007 doing the bone marrow thing for my sister , there was a huge ECL that blew a gale with torrential rain at my sister's place at Penshurst for a couple of days, but only half as much rain at my mothers place in Camden. June 07 Sydney, Bankstown and Camden:

Port Macquarie- I think I prefer the higher diurnal range and more rainfall compared to Sydney; and sunshine and humidity are also acceptable (not too muggy, not too dull). So for me: Port Macquarie (A-) ~ Sydney (A-) >>> Brisbane (B-) >>> Cairns (C-)
