Curitba for more sun and less rain. Still it's way too cloudy! What is with Curitiba's insane record lows? 29.7F in the month of the summer solstice in the subtropics? There’s a cold humid air mass in the south Atlantic that often goes north as late as December, often bringing rain and low temperatures, sometimes even snow. Plus the city’s elevation is high so the air is thin, and thinner air cools down more quickly.

Now subtropical climates can get down to -5C. But the thing is, Curitiba is too wet and humid for such record lows. I don't know...

Curitiba- practically perfect temperatures IMO, although a little too variable during winter. Also, the humid and cloudy conditions knocks the grade to a B-. Paranaguà is more normal for the latitude (near sea level), which isn't good at 25º31'S.
