Which one is better in your opinion? For me it's spring: - Stronger sun and sunnier - Weather becomes invigorating and inspirational, better weather in general - Nature comes back to life, prefer that rather than leaves falling - After a pretty much odorless winter you get fresh smells of nature again

Spring. Drier, cooler, more variable, longer days.

Spring, for the exact same reasons OP mentioned earlier. Not to mention more interesting weather and summer is still ahead and getting closer and closer.

Depends on the climate but here it’s spring as it gets the most interesting weather—heavy snows, thunderstorms, big temp swings—while still having nice temps. Fall is typically a very pleasant season but is short on interesting weather. That’s what I want from fall but still not as fun as spring.
Of course, I have complaints about both seasons as the first half of spring can be too cold, dry, and windy while November can be too cold and boring but these are in general both good seasons here.
Both fall and spring are very pretty here with the flowering trees in spring and fall colors. Also both are refreshing after the previous season—spring for being warmer and wetter and fall for being cooler.
So while I like both seasons here, spring has the edge for getting more interesting weather.

Autumn for higher rainfall, lower evaporation, and weaker sun.

Definitely spring in PEIGEI. Longer days, less cloudy, better chance of snow and even some heat. Fall here is boring usually and the lack of light sucks.

Close call where I live as September is generally milder and warmer than May, though also cloudier and wetter. October is much milder than April on average however mostly due to warm nights and the days are cloudy, often damp with lower sun strength and homogenous temperatures. Both November and March can be poor months but November rarely if ever gets mild sunny calm days as often, and has the misery of winter coming. On balance, most of spring is better than autumn.

No preference either way.... my climate doesn't have the traditional 4 seasons. Mind you Autumn and Spring in north and north eastern Victoria where I grew up as kid were generally OK equally. Spring used to produce some decent thunderstorms in the north east, and autumn was often stable and dry until the 'autumn break' rains began ( meaning ploughing and sowing season for wheat, barley, canola atc. )

Tough choice as I like different aspects of both seasons.
Spring is a dynamic season with big temperature fluctuations occurring in a short space of time. It is also the rainest season and personally seems the windiest. Imo a lot of Melbourne weather stereotypes come from this time of year. There are lots of flowering plants but that also comes with hay fever and swooping magpies.
Autumn is more stable with lots of pleasant days, though of course can still be unpredictable. However, May is usually a bit drab with not much interesting weather. Changing leaves are quite nice to look at.
I’ll be a contrarian and go with autumn.

Spring, though I like Aurumn as well.
Spring has more interesting weather by far.

Autumn. Autumn has more crispy clear sky days with cool temperatures than spring. Springs here are very rainy.

Spring, because it feels warm compared to what we're used to, whereas fall feels chilly and crisp which I don't like. Also, in spring you know you have a whole lush and warm summer ahead, whereas in fall, you're very aware that winter is right around the corner.

Spring for more storms, the bloom and renewal of life, and the fact that there's 9 months till cold returns. Easily spring is the best season.

Fall, as it's warmer here than Spring is Phoenix, like Hudson Bay, is known for it’s bitterly cold and laggy springs.

Spring is a funner season here. More variable, higher chance of snow, better thunderstorms / severe weather outbreaks, less stuck patterns, etc. Although I like what fall represents more than spring, I still like the weather in spring more.

Spring for the extremes and record highs. Not to mention blooming plants. Autumn is boring and stable. The only "unstable" thing about autumn is when we would get record breaking rainfall that flood us, which I don't find interesting at all.

Spring for more sunshine, vegetation blooming and longer days. I like autumn's rainfall amount and temperature though.
