After getting to 66 and 61 the last two days (19 and 16 c), an overnight cold front brought rain showers this morning. Had some very wet some mixed in but nothing stuck. Cleared up by midday.
Today’s 0.10” (3 mm) brings the monthly total to 2.03” (52 mm).
This is a very impressive 432% of normal precipitation and joined Decembers 1913 and 2006 as the only winter months with 2” precipitation

The past four days have been quite mild here, all getting up to at least 68°F (20°C). The next few days should be similarly warm as well.

Officially spring here. Last 3 days:
2/22: 0.10” rain 2/23: 55 f high, 11% min RH, 22 mph winds 2/24: 62 f high, 8% min RH, 32 mph winds
Very low humidity and high winds is classic spring weather. Rain too, very rare in winter. Calendar says February but the pattern is spring.
I hate how we go from cold to wind attack, makes it until late April for consistent pleasant weather as March and April feel much colder than they are due to incessant wind. Would much rather have calm mid 40s than windy 60s.

Temp under-achieved here today just making it to 76F though low 80's were forecast. Cloud cover lasted into the afternoon. Warmest it's been was 78F which we hit yesterday. 81F forecast tomorrow. Meanwhile Shreveport about 110 miles to the NW got up to 88F today, and got up to 94F at Dallas-Fort Worth.

Congratulations to 90% of Iowa for setting a monthly record high. Wow. A chance for 70 here tomorrow, somewhere in the area could break a monthly record high. Then a chance of snow overnight...like a forecast in Fort Collins or the rest of the front range. Should be interesting.
A strong cold front is blowing in after the warmth...
Des Moines in the center of Iowa, here's their forecast for an example
High of 78F/26C today. 77 with a dew of 28 at 4pm (25/-2C) a few clouds, moderate breeze Mostly sunny tomorrow, becoming windy, with a high near 64F/18C Windy with a chance of snow tomorrow night with a low of 14F/-10C Sunny and breezy Wednesday, high 34F/1C Then it warms up each day
Forecast high of 78F again on Sunday... 78 to 14 to 78 in a week.
As usual it's more extreme in the prairies to the west. The most extreme spot depends on what temps seem more extreme to you.
Huron, SD 69F/21C today at 5pm, 5pm tomorrow forecast is 16F/-9C with 25mph/40kph winds. 69 to 7 to 66 within 4 days.
Fargo, ND 61F today at 4pm. 4 to 6 inches of snow expected overnight. 4 pm tomorrow forecast of 6F/-14C with 29mph/47kph winds. 61 to -3 to 56 in 4 days.
Havre, MT 46F yesterday, forecast low of -13F tonight, 54F three days later
Winnipeg reached 6.1C/43F on the 24th, forecast low of -29C/-20F tomorrow night, back above freezing on Friday.

Interesting the Midwest and northwest are getting stronger fronts than here. 64 f high today, another very dry and windy day. NWS has 40/14 tomorrow, a definite change but not as big as the Midwest. Then right back up to mid 60s which should be nice. Rochester is more extreme than here, 66 f Wednesday and 29 f high Thursday. Mid-high 60s are becoming much more common in winter there, happening at least once or twice a winter. Right back up to 60 too.

45C forecast, but at 9 30am it's full overcast, only 32C, and radar is full of rain. Yet another BOM FAIL fizzler on the way. Amazing how these numbnuts mongoloids can't forecast hundreds of square km of clouds 12 hours out 🖕🖕🖕 This is gonna be a repeat of that fail a couple months back when. 46C forecast ended up being 36C 🤣🙏🖕🖕🖕

Shitchester got to 73 (23 c) today, tying the February record high. Wish it happened while I live there.
4/8 Februarys there have gotten to 67 f, more than here despite Fort Collins having 13 f warmer average highs.
Today was utterly miserable here — temps in the mid 30s with 0 f dews and gusty winds of 25-30 mph. Horrific weather, something I have no desire to experience ever again.
Yesterday was the 15th day >/=60 f this winter, the most since 2016-2017.

Should be interesting. We did. You did too, 74 F (23 C) at Miami Cancun Marble Bar Milwaukee Airport. What kind of timeline is this where Wisconsin hits 70+ F in what's normally the most depressing month of the year? Something is seriously unnatural about this, it's a complete freaky aberration like if my left ring finger were to turn bright green and start growing flowers. I legitimately did not think this was possible. I thought for sure we'd break some other monthly records before we broke February's again after what happened in 2017.
