Both very similar, terrible climates. The difference is that the Tasmanian town has more chance of summer heat, stronger UVs and heavier rainfall, and the Scottish city has more snowfall, colder polar snaps, milder rain, and "warmer" summer minimums.

Strathgordon for being a bit warmer and getting intense rains in winter and spring. Edinburgh gets lame drizzle.

Strathgordon
Better record temperatures, and heavy rain is more interesting than lame light rain.

Edinburgh for being drier. Inoffensive vs horrifying.

Strathgordon for being warmer, wetter, and just more interesting in general

How common is snow in Strathgordon? Both are poor, but I go with the Tasmanian site, as it's located at a lower altitude and seems to be more variable overall, despite the excessive rainfall.

I'll take dreary Edinburgh over the cold swamp.

Strathgordon, higher chance for summer heat, lower chance for snow in the winter and warmer record lows.

Strethgordon because itโs as cloudy as Edinburgh but at least it rains more, which makes that climate more interesting. Overcast and rain always win over overcast and no rain.

Oh they get Winter snow... and Autumn, Spring and Summer snow... but none of it settles for more than a few hours... we dont do 'snow pack' in AU outside of 4-5 thousand feet ASL

Edinburgh for being drier and more continental. 252 rain days is horrific.

Edinburgh. As much as I like cold rain, Strathgordon overdoes it.
