Its wikibox used to have snow accumulation data. The Wikipedia page says this now, is it true? “Snowfall is sporadic, but accumulates every winter; and when it does, it is often persistent and disruptive. Sea-effect snowstorms with more than 30 centimetres (1 ft) of snowfall happen almost annually, most recently in 2022.[96][97]” The article linked says that Istanbul gets 82 cm of snow annually: www.nimbus.it/liguria/rlm44/neve_mediterraneo.htmSupposedly this source is where the 60cm annual figure was found, it’s the other source listed for the snow. I can’t find the data, though. www.infoclimat.fr/climatologie/globale/istanbul-ataturk/17060.html

Because of its hilly topography and maritime influences, Istanbul exhibits a multitude of distinct microclimates.
As for the snow in Istanbul, you'd expect most of it to occur in these oceanic-hilly areas, but the other warmer parts do get it too.

Shows how powerful the Royal Navy was in its prime, the Turkish Strait is the only primary choke point that the British Empire didn't have control of.
It's also the one I'll vote for in this poll, Istanbul.
