Japan is a very long and narrow island country, the Japanese archipelago is over 3,000 km (1,900 mi) long. As such, Japan's cities encompass a wide range of climates. I have compiled a few of Japan's most important cities, going from north to south. Which one has the best climate? SapporoCapital of Hokkaido Prefecture, most populous city on Hokkaido island. Sendai
12th most populous city in Japan, largest city between Sapporo and Tokyo. TokyoCapital of Japan, most populous city in the world. OsakaThird most populous city in Japan. Fukuoka
Most populous city on Kyลซshลซ island. NahaCapital and largest city of Okinawa Prefecture.

Osaka wins for being the sunniest and having decent temperatures. Having some western or inland Honshu climates would also be nice, though those cities aren't as big.

Osaka. I was tempted to go with Naha for the pleasant temps year round, but then had a change of heart seeing how cloudy it is in winter, it's close though.

They're all shit. Osaka is the least shit with its good temps and "drier" summer than Fukuoka.

Sendai is actually a good climate except for the summer humidity

Tokyo. I was going to go with Osaka for being sunnier with less autumn rain, but then I saw the 29c August mean.

ไปๅฐ(Sendai) has a good balance between the seasons. Exactly same annual temperature as Paris and Seoul.

Fukuoka. Warmest winters without being excessively coastcucked like Naha.

Grotesque bunch. With such gloomy dampy climates, how do the Japs have such high life expectancy?
Maybe Naha for the warm winters.

Osaka seems to have lower average summer dew points than Tokyo.
