![](https://i.imgur.com/qljVeLe.jpg) back to muggier weather; forecast has the dewpoint dropping midday. Wonder if that's real, hot weather and strong sun evaporates water? AJ1013 last week one day had the dewpoint drop midday but most days the weather was changing so much it was hard for there to be a diurnal dewpoint pattern
Hot weather means a high temp gradient between the groudn and the altitude air, triggering convection and dry altitude air mixing in the clammy ground-level air. At least here, a dew point drop in the afternoon is common, the highest dews being around 10-11 am, and then around 6-8 pm.

Strong high pressure parked over Southern Ontario until late weekend. Hot but at least the relatively dry variety rather than the super muggy variety. ![](https://i.imgur.com/xqiReuU.png)

Showers clearing tomorrow with high pressure sitting over the SW area of WA, this will give us a nice stretch of gradually warming and sunny weather until Monday. Next week is actually looking cloudy and cold, of course it is because holidays start next week :/ ![](https://i.imgur.com/9oB3sqM.png) ![](https://i.imgur.com/ESllX3W.png)

Great forecasts continue. Umeå is probably not even coming close to breaking the 16.6'C June record. The first days of the months are missing data, but Örnsköldsvik airport only had a 14.9'C mean for 1-17th. ![](https://i.imgur.com/oQYeF9A.jpg) Pretty similar forecast for our Finnish cousins ![](https://i.imgur.com/pmnbF96.jpg) More interesting weather, though less pleasant in Norway ![](https://i.imgur.com/bUrHBh3.jpg) Warm in southern North Sweden. The province record and station record of 17.4'C and 17.0'C will stand though as Torpshammar was "only" at 22.4/6.8 and a 15.1'C mean 1-17th of this month. ![](https://i.imgur.com/CDRwZS0.jpg) Hot in arctic Sweden at 320m ![](https://i.imgur.com/0ez4fkw.jpg) Really warm in the Norwegian capital too, especially with the lows being so warm. ![](https://i.imgur.com/nmATJL7.jpg) Not quite as warm in the Swedish capital, but still warm, especially next week. ![](https://i.imgur.com/unokEKX.jpg) National June record is 19.0'C (from Gothenburg), and Gothenburg is at 18.2'C for 1-17th of June this year. Maybe the national record will be broken. Can we get a 20'C June mean maybe? Probably not. ![](https://i.imgur.com/cjJpC2W.jpg)

This June has been pretty poor and very gloomy so far but next week should ensure the month will finish above average on temperature and sunshine. A very nice upgrade, now 5 days in a row +30C and hopefully this pattern carries on.. ![](https://i.imgur.com/EY3OLvC.jpg)
