10c warmer in Paris on 6-7th Aug. What is up with that? I could understand 2-4c.

Weird stalled front sitting over us late tomorrow-tuesday becoming dominated by high pressure. Potentially quite wet next weekend.

Haha you bet I am pissed off, fucking hate seeing Paaaarriiiii with proper heat and temperatures in the mid 30C whilst we are way below that with cloud and boring mild warm temps 😡😡😡 thankfully my mood has increased after WO and other forecast underplayed our temperature today by 4C although the cold front has come past and we’re already down the 25C at 9:15 after reaching almost 38C.. At least our forecast has improved and next weekend we should see 30s again, which probably means 40C for Paaariii Au contraire. No 40°C in sight alas: Very nice forecast! I think 34-35C could be possible again late next week here. Paris really has done well in recent summers

Paris really has done well in recent summers Models now suggesting London will get 8 consecutive days above 30c from next weekend. Looks like the WO forecast is starting to suggest the same. I expect those forecast temps to rise into the mid or high 30s on some days. Real chance of average highs rivalling August 1995! Amazing.

Not Paris levels of epicness, but a very good forecast nonetheless.. a good August is on the cards and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get another 36/37C in this upcoming spell, it seems to be much easier to hit that these days

I think we will see something hotter than last Friday, but instead of a 1 day plume, we will have temps of 30c+ for possibly the next 2 weeks at least. If that forecast is accurate, the 1995 record is under threat! Don't think we will be as dry or sunny as August 1995 though. If the conditions remain into the 2nd half of August, then the 1976 record of consecutive 30c days could be under threat too. June/July 1976 had 16 consecutive days with temps of 31c or more.

Quite the downgrade, there were to 39°C highs in a row last time I checked. Hopeless oceanic shithole can't even manage 2 separate 100°F+ spells.

They've already started downgrading it. WO had York at 33C for Friday, and that's now dropped to 31C. I notice London has been downgraded too. The weather God's will have realised that it's August, and that we aren't actually allowed hot weather in August anymore.

Clearing over the week as high pressure moves it, with a lot of rain developing next sunday and into next week. Should be slightly below average this week becoming cool at daytime but quite mild at nighttime as the rain settles in sunday onwards.
