10ยฐF high? Brrr... we'd be (un)lucky to get that even during cold waves here Giorbanguly ! We got one in January 2016 and yikes that was cold. Felt like a knife cutting the throat when I took the bike to the train station

Not sure how you can ride a bike in that either

The typical path here is Northern Ireland -> Northern Scotland but I never follow where these storms go afterwards.

The typical path here is Northern Ireland -> Northern Scotland but I never follow where these storms go afterwards. It's not a very big Low, but pretty bad tempered. I would say the "epicenter" for those lows are the Stad (Westcape) area, the "corner" of the coast about midway between Bergen and Trondheim. But the Lows can go ashore any place really. Wasn't there a low recently strong enough for an extreme weather warning (Eleanor?) that hit France? Edit: The wind speed in Trondheim tomorrow is now downgraded a bit since a posted that forecast. It's now up to 14 m/s = 50 km/h, but with stronger gusts. But still expecting up to hurricane, 33 m/s = 119 km/h sustained wind speed at the outer seabord a little further north of Trondheim.

Really a low of rain. For tomorrow in particular the weather forecast says that we are going to get more than 100 mm of rain. This kind of weather is really rare in this period of the year, January is usually pretty dry in here. Well, at least this should replenish our water reservoirs, the second part of 2017 was extremely dry in here.
