Finally some northeasterly action about! Getting to –6° C in Lerwick and –8° C farther inland, according to metoffice. Snow showers and –3.8° C right now, with squalls gusting 26 knots already. In these videos, you can see the polar winds lashing much of the North East:

Tomorrow will probably feel pretty warm, with warmest temps forecast for this month so far. Temps around average the middle of the week.

Come on, fuck nugget. A couple of days ago we were forecast two days of 4'C sunny pseudospring. Now it changed to this. I don't think I've ever experienced as stable a winter as this one. A severe lack of major cold in Umeå, but also what feels like record breaking >0'C degree accumulation. I don't think we have melted more than 10cm of snow since December 1st. This is getting ridiculous. I've never experienced this much snow either. Tavelsjö might even break a meter of snow this winter if it keeps like this.

some ups and downs with less warmth than I was hoping for, but little extreme cold and sunshine. Yea, tomorrow will reach 49°F but it'll be pouring rain. Tomorrow's warmth and rain should melt the remaining snow, hope the bike paths clear. up at 1700 feet in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Notice how variable it is; the warm days are maybe 5°F colder than here but the coldest day; Thursday is much colder

Several days of thaw, then a refreeze. Just when we were approaching a nice amount of snow on the ground.
